Friday Confessions

I haven't linked up with Leslie over at A Blonde Ambition in a few weeks. So, today I'm jumping back on this little confessional train with you all, and spilling the beans on my life this week.

I confess that this has been a great week! My eating has been on track, and I've made it to the gym everyday this week. It's given me such energy and I've felt great... minus my calves being so sore that they feel as if they're going to rip every time I walk, and my right arm being equally as sore to the point I couldn't extend it for an entire day. Yep, a real great week.

 

I confess that I've set the date for wedding dress shopping. EEEKK. I'm a huge ball of frazzled nerves; equally excited and terrified. It makes this wedding thing that much more real. This is seriously happening. Finally. Can I reach my goal weight in the next 5 weeks? 10 more pounds to go!

 

I confess that Kaylee decided this morning's car ride was the perfect time for "baby talk". K and I have no idea where it stemmed from. As we were on our way into work she asked us to turn the radio down, and preceded to tell us that she's made up her mind and wants a baby brother or sister. Made up her mind? What? We didn't even realize it was a topic of discussion, and a decision needed to be made. Oh boy. Her reasons being she loves playing and helping out with her 9 month old twin cousins. Therefore, she wants a baby sibling to help out with, and play with when it gets bigger.

 

I confess that this morning's car ride "baby talk" may have tugged at my ovaries. Just a wee little bit. Memories came flooding in of Kaylee when she was a baby. I miss her being so little. I miss the feeling of being pregnant, and those little fluttery movements. 

 

I confess that K came home with a dog last week! We lost our little pup-pup back in May; you can read that story here. Kaylee asked about 2 weeks ago if we could get another dog, that she was ready for a new fur friend. K and I have just been browsing online to see what animals were out there for adoption. We had planned to wait and actually get one when we bought a house. A great opportunity to rescue a little guy presented itself, and next thing I know K is walking in from work with a dog on a leash. Surprise, we have a new pup.

 

I confess that I'm super excited for this weekend's End of Summer - Movies in the Park. A poll was held on our city's Facebook page at the beginning of summer with a list of movies to vote on... The Goonies won with the highest number of votes. An 80's classic. I'm just over here doing a happy dance that Frozen didn't win. So. Over. Frozen. If I have to watch it one more time, I will probably stab myself in the eyes with a fork.

 

I confess that I was stoked to take Kaylee school clothes shopping for the tax free weekend, and buy a bunch of cute things. Key word being was. I have the world's pickiest child when it comes to clothes. She didn't like anything. Shorts were on sale at Kohl's for $6.40! I had her try on 10 pairs... she didn't like not one pair. She asked for leggings to wear everyday. I had to explain that leggings are NOT pants. However, out of the 5 store we went to, she did choose about 6 dresses that she liked. So, we didn't quite leave town empty handed.

Confessional Friday

Hi Friends!

 

I can not believe that another week has just passed us by! I had to do a double take at the calendar this morning because I could have sworn it was only Thursday.

 

Yay for Friday! Let's get this Confessional party started...

 

 

1) I would like to confess that I went over to my parents house on Sunday to watch the premiere of TrueBlood with them. Let me just say that it didn't disappoint, and picked up right where it left off last year. Mmm Alcide! Just what I needed to jumpstart this season and my Sunday.

 

 

Now, that is one fine man, and if you think otherwise you're absolutely cray cray. As in you've done lost your damn mind. I promise to seek help for you!

 

2) I would like to confess that K and I are going to look at a house this weekend! Is it the "one"? We've only been looking for a week so it would be a lie if I didn't say, I sure hope so. Easy usually doesn't ever happen for us, so I'm definitely not going to get my hopes up. Keeping my fingers crossed is something I will do though.

 

3) I would like to confess that I'm quite excited for tonight. Kaylee has been attending Vacation Bible School this week, and they're doing a little graduation for it tonight. It's going to be so cute. She has enjoyed every second of it, and has come home with so many stories along with things she has learnt. So cute.

 

4) I would like to confess that my weekend is going to be spent starting some of the many DIY wedding projects on my list. I have full intentions of doing this. Hopefully. Ask me on Monday if said projects took place.

 

5) I would like to confess that I haven't cooked ONE meal this entire week! Not a single one. Well, I take that back... I did pick up a pizza on two separate occasions this week, brought them home, and placed them in the oven. That has to count for something. Right?

These are my Confessions

It's Friday and you know what that means... I'm linking up with Leslie over at A Blonde Ambition for another week of Confessional Friday!

 

This week has literally been a complete drag, so I'm really looking forward to my weekend out of an office. Of course, it's calling for rain in my part of Florida. Go figure. Looks like Kaylee and I will be playing in the rain all weekend, and crossing my fingers we won't catch pneumonia.

 

Anyways... Let's get this confessional party started, shall we?

 

1) I confess that K and I are "house hunting". He's finally decided that he wants to move in to the city due to working an hour away from our current house. He is over driving 2 hours per day for work, and I am totally fine with that. I've been trying to get him to move in to town for the last two years! Buying a house is a nightmare from what I have been told, so I'm torn on how I really feel about this adventure we're about to embark on.

 

2) I confess that getting up early this week and taking Kaylee to dance camp wasn't all that bad. I kind of liked getting in the office early and leaving early. Maybe I should change my hours? It's debatable.

 

3) I confess that I didn't work out a lick this week, and I maybe drank 4 bottles of water total the entire week... along with 3 cups of sweet tea! Awful. What has happened to my self control? I haven't had sweet tea in almost six months!

 

4) I confess that yesterday I received my first speeding ticket in six years! I knew this car was going to be trouble... but it's soo much fun to drive! I've owned it a total of two weeks, and have already gotten a ticket; a whopping $265. How lovely.

 

5) I confess that it's time for a change... in the hair department. Due to the wedding, I can't have any length taken off because I've been letting it grow. So, the only other thing to do is color. I have really been loving the red/brown color, and was thinking something along these shades. They're different, drastic, and I love it. The color is still up for debate; depending on how it may affect my hair before the wedding, because I don't want red hair for my wedding. If it's doable, I'm going for it, if not, then I'm adding lots of blonde.

 

 6) I confess that I've been a horrible blogger for the past two weeks. If it weren't for my "Wedding Wednesday" and "Confessional Friday", I wouldn't have had a post at all. Not sure what has been going on, but I just haven't been able to come up with any topics for discussion. Nothing has been on my mind to talk about. Boring, I know, but next week will be different. Promise!

 

That concludes this week's confessions. I'm excited for this weekend... Kaylee has a birthday water party tomorrow, and Sunday we have a Baby Q to attend. Our very first one. These Baby Q's are becoming quite popular, and I love this new take on a couples baby shower. It will be interesting. Hopefully the rain will stay away for both parties.

Confessional Friday

We finally made it! It's Friday, and time for a Confessional link up with A Blonde Ambition.

 

On This Lovely Friday, I would like to confess...

1) I've stuck to my clean eating this week and started back with my exercising routine. My arms and legs are beyond sore, and feel like noodles. I could barely wash my hair because my arms hurt so badly... Oh the perks of getting fit. Or not.

2) I love my job. Mostly. I've been in this new position for almost a month now, and it's proving to be a lot more challenging and taking some getting used to than I initially had thought. Goes to show me, that's what I get for thinking!

3) Two days into May, and I'm beyond ready for it to be over with. It's such a busy month with Kaylee's extra curricular activities (Dress rehearsal, dance rehearsal, dance showcase, classes, and end of the year party), school parties, and the school year coming to an end. I just need a break.
On a side note: May 24th is the date for our Engagement Party, so that's definitely worth looking forward to with the rest of this hectic month.

4) K and I have been down to one vehicle. Trying something new to help save back more money. I hate it. It sucks. I want my own car back. Is it even worth it? 

5) I plan to hit up the boutiques in town this weekend. Going to have a girls day with my Maid of Honor, and hopefully find a dress for mine and K's Engagement Party!

 

Looking forward to a weekend filled with friends and family; celebrating a safe trip home from Korea of a friend in the Air Force, and my sister-in-law graduating from Florida State University. Maybe we will get lucky and the sun with grace us with its beauty. I know I've had enough of this daily rain for the past week!

I Confess...

 

(1) I am absolutely over trying to find a dress for our Engagement party next month. I've ordered and had to return because the dress fit like a T-Shirt! What is with designers making these dresses so short lately? 90% of the ones I have found a liked sell out within an hour of finding them. It's gotten to be more of a burden than fun at this point.

 

(2) I haven't stepped foot in the gym going on three weeks now. Just haven't been feeling it since getting back from our vacation. I definitely have been regretting it. You can accomplish a lot in three weeks! I need to get this booty in gear. Literally.

 

(3) We've ordered and eaten pizza twice this week. Goodbye diet; I'll see ya next Monday. Hopefully.

 

(4) Planning a wedding has proven to be more stress than I signed up for. Eloping is looking better and better by the hour, and I'm only five months into planning this thing! How do people do this for a living? I used to think it was utterly absurd how much planners charged... I apologize ten times over.

 

(5) I'm not looking forward to summer here in Florida. It's almost May, and the temperature is already above 80 and humid as hell; Feels more like 95 to me. I hate the hot humid weather we're graced with around these parts. Absolutely hate it. Can we please just move up North until October?
