"Will You Be My Bridesmaid" Boxes

I knew that I didnt' want to take the traditional route when asking my close friends to stand by me on my special day. So, I decided to make them a box full of goodies with the question painted on the inside of the box.

My Mom and I had set out for a day of shopping at the craft stores. We hit up Michaels first for all of the wooden boxes, wooden letters, fabric, pearls, and paint pens. On our way home we stopped by our local Ace Hardware store for the paint.

Pictured below are the wooden boxes and letters unfinished

Each box was painted blush pink, letters were painted with the chalkboard paint, along with the inside of the box. I pieced and layered the frabic flower cut outs together how I wanted, added a pearl to each flower, glued them to a piece of burlap, and then to the box along with the letter.

This project took me about a month to finish due to only working on it on and off during the weekends. Without further adeu, I give you the finished Maid of Honor box!

I lined the bottom of the box with burlap, added a mini bottle of Sutter Home Moscato, two pink paper straws, two squares of Ghirardelli chocolates, an EOS lip balm (my absolute favorite), and a Freemans facial clay mask.

The girls loved it. I love making unique gifts, and the fact that each box held meaning to each girl.
